Why This Position is for You
The Director of Supply & Manufacturing will serve as a key hands-on leader within AeroCore, responsible for strengthening and scaling our supply chain and manufacturing operations in support of our continued growth. This role is ideal for a practical, relationship-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys staying closely connected to day-to-day operations. You will work directly with procurement, production, inventory management, and vendor partners to drive efficiency, improve processes, and support system enhancements, including upcoming ERP implementation efforts. Collaborating across engineering, quality, operations, and leadership teams, you will help ensure AeroCore consistently meets operational goals while maintaining the high standards, accountability, and collaborative culture that define our organization. This role will report directly to the CEO and is a staff level position with opportunity to grow with the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute AeroCore’s supply chain and manufacturing strategy in alignment with our growth goals, supporting both domestic and international operations.
- Maintain hands-on oversight of procurement, inventory control, production planning, and logistics within our manufacturing environment, ensuring strong coordination across department.
- Work directly with manufacturing teams to identify opportunities for process improvements, cost savings, and operational efficiency
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with suppliers and vendors, partnering closely to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and reliable delivery.
- Implement practical lean principles that improve workflow, reduce waste, and support our team members in doing their best work.
- Collaborate closely with higher leadership, engineering, quality, operations, and field teams to drive continuous improvement and support company-wide initiatives.
- Provide direct leadership and mentorship to supply chain and manufacturing personnel, fostering accountability, teamwork, and professional growth.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and safety requirements, including FAA, AS9100, and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
- 10 years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing, or operations (preferred)
- Proven experience with hands-on management oversight in a manufacturing environment, with direct engagement across procurement, production, logistics, and vendor partnerships.
- Experience scaling and improving operations within a growing organization
- Demonstrated experience negotiating with suppliers and managing contracts.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to stay connected to day-to-day operations while driving strategic improvements.
- Comfortable working in a collaborative environment where remote cross-functional communication is key.
- Willingness to comply with required policies and standards such as FAA Drug Testing, AS9100, and OSHA.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience working within structured operating systems such as the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS) or similar performance management frameworks
- Background in aerospace or aviation services
- Lean Six Sigma, APICS, or PMP Certifications
- Direct experience in aerospace or aviation services
