The City of Greenville, MS is seeking a highly motivated, seasoned Planning Director to join the City of Greenville team. This position requires graduation from a four-year college or university with a specialization in planning and/or public administration, or five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Candidate must have a strong record of working as contact and communication for developers and the public. This position performs supervisory, administrative, and coordinating office services such as personnel, budget preparation, and timely and accurate performance of work.

Experience in implementation of public policy, land use planning, subdivision regulations, and general statutes; enforcement of City’s Zoning Ordinances, International Codes, standards and guidelines; and management of floodplain development through the National Flood Insurance Program.
