Job Responsibilities
- Develops and leads the company’s multi-year corporate strategy framework, aligning functional and business unit strategies with overall corporate objectives.
- Conducts deep analyses of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging market opportunities in the clinical research and life sciences space.
- Identifies and prioritizes organic and inorganic growth opportunities, including service line expansion, geographic diversification, and strategic investments.
- Supports the evaluation, diligence, and integration planning of potential M&A opportunities; collaborates with finance, legal, and operations teams throughout the deal lifecycle.
- Prepares strategic presentations and materials for executive leadership and the Board of Directors, summarizing recommendations, initiatives, and KPIs. Prepares strategy materials for other stakeholder groups: customers and employees in conjunction with global corporate communications and marketing.
- Partners with key leaders across Clinical Operations, Commercial Operations, Business Development, Finance, Change Management and Technology to align execution with strategic objectives.
- Drives transformational programs that enhance scalability, efficiency, and differentiation in clinical research services in conjunction with the operational excellence team.
Additional Qualifications
- 7-10 years of experience in corporate strategy or transformation. Currently a Principal / Associate Partner at a top-tier consulting firm focused on healthcare or life sciences, or has transitioned to industry as an Exec Director/VP of Strategy within a global biopharma organization.
- 5+ years experience in biopharma or pharma services. Understands market trends, commercialization models and regulatory landscape.
- Has operationalized multi-year strategic or transformation plans (> $1B+ organizations) and translated enterprise priorities into detailed initiatives, metrics, and execution accountability. Implemented dashboards and project plans to track performance.
- Has led deep-dive analyses into markets, competitors, and adjacencies, and distilled data into clear insights and strategic implications.
- Experience building and delivering Board and ELT strategy materials.
- Track record of driving alignment with executives at multiple levels and with cross-functional teams.
- Brings roll-up sleeves approach and is able to shift between high-level strategy and day-to-day execution.

Salary Range
The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high of the Syneos Health range for this position. Actual salary will vary based on various factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
