Job Details
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Family Physician/Medical Director to join our dynamic healthcare team. This is a permanent, full-time position where the successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive healthcare services to patients ages 3+. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and the ability to function effectively within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary team environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive and continuous primary care to a diverse population of patients, including children and adults.
- Develop, implement, and monitor patient care plans and adjust as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform regular physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines.
- Diagnose and treat a wide variety of medical conditions, referring patients to specialists as necessary.
- Direct and coordinate activities of nurses, students, assistants, specialists, therapists, and other medical staff.
- Collaborate with other physicians, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to form a high performing medical team.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving patient care and healthcare delivery systems.
- Stay current with the latest developments in family medicine through continuous professional development and education.
- Serve as a role model and mentor to staff and medical students, fostering a culture of learning, respect, and compassion.
Qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD) from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Family Medicine or related specialty.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a clinical setting, with proven leadership or management experience.
- Current, valid license to practice medicine in the state.
- Strong clinical skills with an emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and healthcare IT systems.
- Commitment to adhering to the highest ethical standards and professional conduct.
