Director of Business Development (Defense) – Hunter Role

We’re looking for a true hunter to drive new business growth across Aerospace & Defense , with a focus on winning programs in secondary aircraft structures, interiors, and space . If you have deep industry relationships and a track record converting complex RFQs into multi‑year awards, we want to talk.

What You’ll Do:

  • Penetrate target accounts including Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Raytheon (RTX), L3Harris , and Tier‑1 suppliers
  • Leverage an existing network to secure meetings, shape opportunities, and win new logos
  • Develop a high‑velocity pipeline aligned to composites, machining, fabrication, and assembly capabilities
  • Drive AVL/ASL approvals and long‑term agreements
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Ops, Quality, and Supply Chain to position competitive, manufacturable solutions
  • Represent the company at customer sites, program reviews, and industry events

What You Bring:

  • 10+ years of Business Development/Capture experience in Aerospace & Defense
  • Strong, active relationships across primes and Tier‑1s
  • Technical familiarity with composites , precision machining , assemblies , and fabrication
  • Experience navigating FAR/DFARS , ITAR/EAR , and AS9100 environments
  • Proven ability to open doors, build pipelines, and close complex deals
  • U.S. Person (ITAR) required; clearance preferred but not required

Compensation:

$120k–$160k base + 2.5% commission , uncapped, plus benefits. Total Compensation can easily reach 200-300k yearly.
