Position Overview
We are seeking a Director of Finance – Foundation to provide strategic oversight and maintain the financial integrity of its Foundation. This role ensures compliance with state and federal regulations and serves as a liaison between the Foundation and the hospital system. Although this is a Director-level title, the role functions in a hands‑on managerial capacity. The ideal candidate must be willing to work directly within financial systems, review ledgers, and support operational needs as required.
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- No weekends
- No on-call
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee financial operations.
- Develop and manage annual budgets
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards
- Establish and maintain strong internal controls
- Manage and support grants accounting processes
- Lead, train, and evaluate finance staff
- Improve operational workflows and efficiencies
- Develop departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum 7 years of financial leadership experience
- Minimum 4 years of non‑profit sector experience
- Healthcare finance experience (large hospital preferred)
- Grants management experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
Highly Preferred
- Master’s degree (MBA, Accounting, or Public Administration)
- Foundation experience
