We are seeking a results-oriented Director of Sales to lead sales and marketing initiatives for the Homewood Suites and Hampton Inn at the Long Beach Airport. Your Focus

  • Leadership: Develop and execute sales plans that leverage direct sales, e-commerce, public relations, and community partnerships to drive revenue across all business segments.
  • Team Development: Build, mentor, and inspire the team. You will foster a culture where every associate is empowered to deliver exceptional service that reflects our brand standards and core values.
  • Revenue Growth: Achieve annual hotel revenue goals by identifying customer requirements, crafting tailored offers, and maintaining strong relationships with key accounts to maximize revenue share.
  • Sales Execution: Use professional negotiation techniques to close opportunities and articulate the unique benefits of our hotels.
  • Market Presence: Travel locally to conduct outside calls, promote the hotel, and review competition.
  • Performance Analysis: Monitor achievement of objectives for the sales team, take appropriate action to correct shortfalls, and achieve annual hotel revenue goals.

Your Background and Skills

  • Four-year college degree preferred; additional/advanced degree coursework in business administration, marketing and communications a plus.
  • Previous sales experience in a comparable hotel size and scope required with operations experience preferred.
  • Proficient in use of Excel, Word, Delphi and access database tools.

Work Environment and Context

  • Work schedule varies and may include occasionally working on holidays, weekends.
  • Required to sit for extended periods, lift up to 10 pounds, bend, reach, use hands and fingers to operate keyboard.
  • Moderate travel between hotel and client’s locations required.
