Product Director - Supplements

Vibrant Wellness is a high-complexity laboratory in San Jose, CA seeking a Product Lead to join our Supplements team at a full-time capacity. This position offers an opportunity to be responsible for owning products end-to-end including development, launch, and in-market optimization. This role serves as the single accountable owner of each product, working cross-functionally with formulation, supply chain, regulatory, quality, brand, and customer experience to ensure products are scientifically credible, operationally feasible, commercially successful, and compliant across markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Strategy & Roadmap: Identifying new opportunities and developing a product roadmap. Translate consumer insights, scientific trends, and internal strategy into a clear product roadmap.
- End-to-End Ownership: Creating detailed product briefs including full lifecycle of assigned products and SKUs
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Working with formulators and manufacturers to drive cross-functional decision-making, timelines, and trade-offs
- Launch Readiness: Approving formulas, labeling, and supply chain readiness. Aligning with brand and marketing teams on positioning, education, and launch planning
- In-Market Optimization: Monitoring performance, gathering feedback, and managing product updates.
- Portfolio Management: Evaluating the product mix and making decisions on product lifecycle. Support geographic and channel expansion by adapting formulations, labeling, and claims as required
Qualifications/Education
- Experience: 6–10+ years in supplements or a related regulated consumer product industry.
- Demonstrated experience owning products end-to-end, including post-launch management
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or business field.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of regulatory compliance and labeling standards.
- Operational Acumen: Experience managing external experts and understanding cost structures.

Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Occasional lifting and carrying required. Should be ablet to lift or carry up to 50lbs.
- Standing/Sitting for prolonged periods of time during the day.
- Flexibility required to accommodate workload and deadlines.
