Overview

Mastercard Digital Enablement Service (MDES) is a platform for Issuers, Wallet Providers, Merchants, and other Token Requestors to enable the digitization of Mastercard Cards for digital payments. The Global MDES team builds and maintains MDES Product that powers Digital Wallets and secures the e‑Commerce ecosystem. This position leads product management and commercialization of the MDES platform for Device Wallets (M4D) for global device wallet providers.

Role

  • Work with internal and external business teams to define product requirements for Device Wallets.
  • Collaborate with technical architects and product development teams to define technical flows.
  • Coordinate with project managers to manage timelines according to customers’ expectations.
  • Partner with engineering teams to build the product.
  • Obtain necessary approvals from legal and data privacy teams.
  • Work with regions to define go‑to‑market strategies.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and position the product effectively in the market.
  • Collaborate with Mastercard regional teams to tailor the product to market needs.
  • Develop sales decks and collateral for customer‑facing teams.
  • Work with legal teams on contracts and agreements.
  • Define product pricing with pricing teams in line with market needs.

All About You

  • Over 15 years of experience across payments, banking, and digital wallets.
  • MBA with engineering background preferred.
  • Deep understanding of the financial services industry, payment infrastructure, and the digital payment ecosystem.
  • Experience leading product management for payments products or services.
  • Expertise in designing autonomous payment architectures with dynamic human‑in‑the‑loop oversight for high‑value transactions.
  • Knowledge of ISO 8583 and APIs.
  • Strong customer focus and business acumen.
  • Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams to execute projects.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Compensation and Benefits

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary with potential eligibility for annual bonuses or commissions. Pay ranges for New York City, New York: $187,000 – $318,000 USD.
