In-House Physical Therapy Assistant
The Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) provides skilled therapeutic interventions to residents and guests under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the Pennsylvania Physical Therapy Practice Act and applicable regulations. The PTA implements treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist, collects and reports resident response to therapy and supports achievement of the highest practicable level of function. Qualifications: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (A.A.S. or A.S.) required Previous experience working with the senior population or in a skilled nursing, rehabilitation or long-term care setting preferred. Current, active Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania required. Current CPR/BLS certification required. Proficient with electronic health records (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office Suite required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills required. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team required.
