E-Commerce Lister

Goodwill Gulf Coast is seeking an e-Commerce Lister to ensure the efficient and cost effective operation and stewardship of the Goodwill online marketplace. This position is responsible for photographing, researching, listing, and shipping items that are sold online. Essential duties include ensuring world class customer service, performing accurate initial sort and grading donations, ensuring inventory growth, inventory maintenance and production goals are reached, performing packaging and shipping to accurately ship orders and exchanges, responsible for listing and shipping books for e-Commerce, ensuring good stewardship of all donations, through proper handling and processing of incoming donation flow in and out of the store in accordance with Goodwill policies and procedures, ensuring the cleanliness and image of the location and work stations, minimizing accidents and Workers Compensation claims by making sure that safety and accident reporting standards are followed and preventive measures are taken, keeping abreast of product knowledge, industry trends, and competitive pricing through comparative shopping and/or research, performing assigned duties within the framework of our Mission, Vision, Core Values and Guiding Principles, attending internal and external training as assigned by VP/Director of eCommerce, participating in activities and events that promote and/or generate revenue for the agency, performing other duties as assigned by Director of eCommerce and/or VP of Donated Goods, acting as a positive role model for employees in all aspects of professional performance, and regular attendance as outlined in Goodwill's attendance policy. Skills, knowledge and abilities required include the ability to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people, the ability to market Goodwill and explain the mission to the general public, excellent computer skills, the ability to use basic office equipment, the ability to research the value of donated items, the ability to photograph items to be sold online, the ability to take initiative and work well with little supervision, excellent organizational and communication skills, the ability to keep information confidential, the ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English, the ability to maintain an effective working relationship with, and among employees while motivating them to their best performance, the ability to work a flexible schedule, on short notice, including nights and weekends, the ability to function in a hectic work environment with occasional periods of high stress, the ability to read and interpret websites, documents such as policies and procedures, the ability to write creatively and articulately, the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and average, knowledge of online programs such as Google, Ebay, Amazon.com and Microsoft Office products, specifically Windows, Word and Picture Manager are required, general experience with Excel and doing online research is strongly desired. Experience and education requirements include experience in business (retail/manufacturing/production/logistics) setting preferred and a high school diploma or GED required. Physical requirements include the ability to bend, reach and stand for extensive periods of time and lift up to forty pounds, and sufficient eyesight and manual dexterity to differentiate between and classify items. Working conditions include a moderate noise level, varying temperature changes, and a warehouse type environment. Critical performance factors include the ability to effectively read customer orders, present information and respond to questions from others, basic knowledge of MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook, ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions, and ability to calculate figures and amounts such as weight and amount cost of shipping.
