
Document Specialist

The Role:
The Document Specialist is responsible for updating, releasing, and maintaining documentation for purchasing and manufacturing to ensure all materials reflect the most current Engineering Changes (ECs).
What you'll do:
Release new drawings from Engineering, verifying all pages and required signatures are included. Upload drawings to the engineering file system for staff access and archive previous revisions in the appropriate folder. Process engineering change releases by verifying bill of materials (BOM) updates, checking for spelling and formatting errors, and confirming descriptions match the MAX Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Ensure all documents are complete and properly attached. Create purchase order requisitions for Engineering R&D and obtain vendor quotes through suppliers or online vendor sources. Create and maintain bills of materials for major projects and builds using Excel spreadsheets, and upload BOM data into MAX. Create electronic specification sheets for purchased components by sourcing accurate and detailed specification documentation online. Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering and Manufacturing, as well as Engineering and Purchasing, fielding requests and facilitating communication. Who you are:
Associate degree in Engineering or 2-3 years of related experience in document control, engineering support, or a similar role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage electronic files and prioritize tasks effectively. Ability to communicate clearly with all levels of management, employees, and vendors. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to create, edit, and maintain technical documentation. Experience developing and maintaining electronic recordkeeping systems and procedures. Even better if you have:

Compensation:
The estimated base annual salary range for this position is $62,353.20 to $78,538.97, though a candidate's base annual salary shall be determined based on a range of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications and experience.
