This role reports to the Senior Director, US Lyme Brand Lead and will shape and drive strategy for providing protection against Lyme disease in the US, with a focus on market development, stakeholder engagement, and payer strategy in high-incidence areas. The work location includes multiple sites: Pennsylvania – Collegeville and New York City, NY. Lyme disease is a systemic infection caused by Borrelia burgdorferi bacteria transmitted by infected ticks. The disease is the most common vector-borne illness in the Northern Hemisphere. Vaccination is under development (LB6V) and expected to be approved in 1H 2027. A US marketing team for LB6V is being formed to advance key pre-launch workstreams. Reporting to the Senior Director, US Lyme Brand Lead, the US Lyme Market Shaping Lead will lead development and communication of value propositions for Lyme prevention to a broad set of decision makers across channels, and will drive strategic planning, partnerships, and cross-functional initiatives. What You Will Achieve
The Director, Lyme Market Shaping Lead will build the strategy and implementation plan for market development and vaccine uptake, guided by patient demand, physician willingness and ability to vaccinate, and payer reimbursement to protect against Lyme disease. The candidate will demonstrate understanding of vaccine market dynamics, customer insights, and ability to develop partnerships with stakeholders, working in a complex environment. In this role you will: Ensure clear understanding of barriers to Lyme prevention and vaccination Prioritize opportunities to shape the US market to support LB6V uptake post-launch Develop value propositions to engage key customers/channels, stakeholders and other healthcare experts to drive uptake integrated into patient care workflows Develop strategies and tactical plans, including collaboration agreements or partnerships and omni-channel/medical education initiatives Collaborate with cross-functional teams (medical, policy, access, pricing and contracting, global) to ensure synergies Develop market insights with IIS colleagues and translate into actionable strategies Define vision of success and KPIs for market development Support annual operating and tactical plan development for market development and medical education Collaborate with Lyme HCP, Retail, and Consumer Teams to deliver a unified brand strategy Ensure coverage across all payers at launch; address access challenges with US Market Access Provide brand marketing leadership to portfolio teams to support strategies and solutions Partner with Contracting Strategy Team to shape contract strategy Here Is What You Need (Minimum Requirements)
Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years, Master’s with 7+ years, or PhD/PharmD with 5+ years of pharmaceutical sales/marketing experience including US HCP, patient and payer marketing, strategy and launches Strong understanding of US payer and vaccine reimbursement landscape Strong project management skills and ability to manage timelines and dependencies Ability to translate customer needs into meaningful strategies and in-market results Demonstrated initiative, problem solving, decision making and leadership Ability to navigate internal processes and foster collaboration Strong communication skills and ability to mobilize cross-functional partners Bias toward action and urgency to deliver high-quality plans Comfort with ambiguity and complex environments Entrepreneurial and innovative approach with focus on measuring marketing effectiveness Proven track record of successful partnerships with external agencies Experience presenting opportunities and brand plans to senior leadership Commitment to compliance with applicable rules and regulations Ability to manage multiple tasks with urgency while prioritizing team goals Diversity in leadership experiences and ability to influence, coach, and guide others Bonus Points If You Have (Preferred Requirements)
