Role: The Director – Patient Services is responsible for designing, building, and leading comprehensive patient services programs across Biocon Biologics’ North America biosimilar portfolio. This role provides strategic and operational leadership for patient access solutions spanning provider‑administered and self‑administered products, across Medical Benefit, Pharmacy Benefit, and hybrid benefit models. The role will lead the development and execution of hub programs, copay assistance programs, reimbursement support, patient education, adherence programs, and patient assistance initiatives, while ensuring seamless integration with Specialty Pharmacy partners, internal commercial teams, and third‑party hub vendors.

Responsibilities : Design, build, and continuously optimize end‑to‑end patient services strategy for a portfolio of biosimilars across North America. Develop differentiated patient access programs aligned to Medical Benefit, Pharmacy Benefit, and dual‑benefit pathways. Lead the design and deployment of hub, copay and other patient services support programs, including multiple enrolment pathways (hub‑based, digital, specialty pharmacy‑enabled, and field‑initiated models). Define patient services models for new product launches, ensuring readiness at launch and scalability post‑launch. Oversee reimbursement support services, including benefits verification, prior authorization, appeals, bridge programs, and coverage navigation. Lead therapy adherence, patient education, patient assistance, and affordability programs to improve initiation, persistence, and outcomes. Ensure patient services programs are compliant, patient‑centric, and aligned with evolving payer and regulatory requirements. Provide strategic oversight of third‑party patient services hubs and vendors, ensuring performance against SLAs, KPIs, and contractual obligations. Track, analyse, and optimize hub utilization, copay spend, and operational efficiency across products and channels. Lead vendor selection, contracting support, SOW renewals, and performance governance in collaboration with Procurement, Legal, and Compliance. Provide insights on patient access trends, payer behavior, and program performance to inform broader market access strategy. Ensure all patient services programs meet regulatory, compliance, and audit requirements, including MLR/PRC approvals where applicable. Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing patient services team, including direct reports and matrixed resources. Establish clear roles, performance expectations, and development plans aligned with organizational growth.

Required Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, PharmD) preferred. 12+ years of experience in Patient Services, Market Access, Reimbursement, or Managed Care within the U.S. pharmaceutical or biologics industry, or in a closely related field. Deep understanding of US reimbursement dynamics, including Medical Benefit, Pharmacy Benefit, Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance. Proven experience designing and leading patient services and hub programs for specialty or biologic products, including contracting, implementation and ongoing program management. Strong experience working with Specialty Pharmacies and third‑party patient services vendors. Financial acumen in review, understanding and managing patient services budget across all programs, including hub, copay, etc.

Final compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate’s experience, skills, and overall fit for the role.
