Job Title: Business Officer/Loan Underwriter
Summary/Objective:
Support frontline departments to conduct the due diligence for thenew business opportunities.Workclosely with Account Officersand Credit department in order toprovide any mitigation/recommendation for the proposal and close business deals successfully in atimelymanner.
Assist frontline departments with financial analysis for bothexisting and potential customers in preparation of credit proposal andannualreview.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.)with Accounting or Finance major preferred from four-year college oruniversity. MBA/MS degree preferred. At least 3 years related experience and/ortraining; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Functions:
Follow-through with front-line department, credit department andloan operation department through all phases of the underwritingprocess.
Maintain customer relationship and provide good services.
Analyze borrower/guarantor financial information including taxreturn, rent roll, etc. to determine the property’s debt carrying abilityand the borrower’s capacity torepay.
Full knowledge in commercial real estate mortgage (CRE), smallbusiness lending product (include but not limited to C&I, LOC, andetc.), and financial institution (FI)evaluation.
Spread and analyze personal and corporate financial statements, andprepare creditproposal.
Prepare various weekly/monthly reports for management, or otherdepartments.
Participate in special projects asrequired.
Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiplepriorities
Excellent writing and analyticalskills
Perform administrative responsibilities including taking notesduring meetings,preparing correspondence, and managingfiles
Performs other duties as assigned.
Collect business andcreditinformation andreferences
Coordinate with attorneys and frontline officers to prepare loanclosings
Quality Management – demonstrates accuracy andthoroughness.
Timemanagement - manage multiple priorities, and complete theassignments onschedule.
Customer service – responds promptly to customer needs and meetscommitments.
Oral communication – communicate with customers and branch employeeseffectivelyandclearly.
