Job Description The Field Service Representative (FSR) acts as the in‑field technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for EOS systems. This role is responsible for installation, commissioning, set‑to‑work, maintenance, fault‑finding, and repairs in operational environments. The FSR also supports training, trials, demonstrations, and business development activities across the EOS business.
Position Purpose To provide technical expertise and hands‑on support for EOS systems in the field, ensuring operational readiness and playing a supporting role in end‑user training, product trials, demonstrations, and development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Support Training & Demonstrations
Support EOS Trainers in the set‑up and delivery of operator and maintainer training for EOS products.
Assist in live demonstrations for customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Trials & Development Activities
Participate in the planning, coordination, and execution of trials and development activities at EOS facilities, firing ranges, and customer sites.
Participate in system trials, evaluations, and integration testing.
Provide feedback to engineering teams for product improvement.
Identify risks and propose treatments.
Installation & Commissioning
Deploy and configure EOS systems (e.g., remote weapon stations, optical tracking systems) at customer or trial sites.
Oversee work in accordance with company policies and safety standards.
Maintenance & Technical Support
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on EOS equipment.
Provide troubleshooting assistance and technical advice to customers and internal teams.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate service records, prepare technical reports, and provide feedback for product improvement.
Apply SME knowledge when reviewing technical publications to ensure accuracy and completeness of project artefacts.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure all work complies with EOS standards and safety protocols.
Must be able to meet EOS requirements in order to be added to the EOS Firearms Permit IAW NSW Firearms Act 1996 and Firearms Regulation 2017.
Ensure safe, compliant storage, handling, and transport of weapons and controlled items in line with all company and legal requirements.
Desired Skills And Experience Qualifications & Experience
Essential
Eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance (Baseline Clearance)
Eligible to access and handle ITAR‑controlled equipment and technical data in accordance with U.S. export control regulations.
Trade or technical qualification in electronics, mechatronics, or related field.
Experience in field service roles within defence, aerospace, or technology industries.
Strong diagnostic and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to travel (both domestically and internationally) and work in remote or challenging environments.
Desirable
Knowledge or experience in technology related to EOS product lines (weapon systems, space sensors, communications, electro‑optical systems, laser systems, remotely operated systems).
Experience handling and operating weapon systems in a range environment.
Skills & Attributes
