Our client, a leading commercial real estate firm, is seeking a temporary Assistant Property Manager to support daily operations across two Class‑A properties. This role is ideal for a professional, organized professional with strong tenant‑facing skills and experience supporting property management functions. The position is fully onsite in Crystal City.
About the Role The Assistant Property Manager supports all aspects of property operations, tenant relations, and administrative coordination. This role ensures a high level of professionalism, timely response to tenant needs, and smooth execution of building processes. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Responsibilities Administrative & Operational Support
Provide full administrative support, including phone coverage, filing, reporting, and correspondence
Coordinate office supplies and general administrative needs
Assist with lease administration, including abstracting leases and maintaining accurate database records
Maintain organized property files, including leases, contracts, and compliance documents
Prepare and coordinate bid proposals and service contracts
Obtain and review aging reports; follow up on tenant delinquencies per client policies
Process invoices with proper documentation and ensure timely submission
Assist with annual budget preparation and monthly financial reporting
Process staff hours, expense reports, and check requests for approval
Tenant Relations & Building Operations
Coordinate tenant move‑ins and move‑outs, including furniture deliveries and pickups
Oversee work order and purchase order systems
Maintain and update tenant information and service request systems
Support development of tenant service programs (newsletters, events, handbooks, etc.)
Ensure Certificates of Insurance for tenants and vendors are current
Conduct regular property inspections with janitorial, landscaping, and other service providers
Participate in oversight of service contractors and vendor performance
Procedures & Compliance
Update office procedures within the property Operations Procedure Manual
Ensure adherence to building policies, safety standards, and operational protocols
About You
High school diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred
At least 3 year of property management or related real estate experience
Strong customer service orientation and professional communication skills
Excellent organizational and time‑management abilities
Ability to multitask and respond with urgency when needed
Proactive, detail‑oriented, and comfortable working independently
Experience with property management software preferred (Yardi, Building Engines)
About the Position
Start Date: Monday, March 30 (ideally)
Duration: contract for 3 months, potential to extend (covering for a leave)
Hourly Pay: $28-$32/hr DOE
Schedule: Ideally 8:00 AM-4:00 PM (flexible options: 8:30-4:30 or 9:00-5:00)
