How You’ll Contribute: As an Intern, Investments (Private Capital & Real Estate), you will gain hands-on experience supporting investment analysis, due diligence, portfolio management, and reporting across multiple asset classes. You will work closely with the Investments team and cross-functional partners to support informed investment decision-making and portfolio oversight. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about investments, financial markets, and real estate, and who bring strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills to the team. What You’ll Do: Examine and assess economic and market trends, earnings prospects, and financial statements to support investment decision-making. Assist in evaluating new private capital and real estate investment opportunities. Perform due diligence on new investment origination requests, including market research, property type analysis, and investment structure review. Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment opportunities and forecast performance. Review financial statements and loan documentation to ensure data integrity and reporting consistency. Assist with quarterly assessments, third-party reporting templates, and pipeline reporting updates. Support loan file management and system conversion, as applicable. Prepare advisory summaries and internal reports for investment team review. Research and resolve issues using strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Complete and present a capstone project at the conclusion of the internship program. Actively contribute to team and Company goals by fostering collaboration and a positive, inclusive work environment. What You’ll Bring: Education: Currently enrolled as a rising junior or senior at an accredited university. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Finance, Real Estate, Economics, Business, or similar discipline Experience: Educational focus in Investments and/or Real Estate preferred Familiarity with various asset classes preferred Prior coursework in financial modeling, investment analysis, or real estate finance preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities Initiative and eagerness to learn in a professional environment Effective time management and ability to meet deadlines independently and as part of a team Collaborative mindset with cross-functional team members Strong attention to detail Adaptability and openness to feedback Commitment to operating in alignment with EquiTrust’s Core Values: Integrity, Leadership, Accountability, Teamwork, and Passion Physical Requirements: Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs.) The pay range for this role is $22.00 per hour. This reflects the expected compensation for the position at the time of posting. The final offer will be based on factors such as the candidate’s experience, qualifications, geographic location, and internal equity, and may be higher or lower than the posted range.
