Work Schedule Ally designates roles as (1) fully on‑site, (2) hybrid, or (3) fully remote. Hybrid roles are generally expected to be in the office a certain number of days per week as indicated by your manager. Your hiring manager will discuss this role's specific work requirements with you during the hiring process. The Opportunity Are you ready to join a world‑class, fast‑moving Consumer Underwriting Sales Territory at Ally and help turn strategy into measurable results? As an auto consumer underwriter, you’ll be the operational heartbeat—partnering closely with the Underwriting Manager and our Consumer Underwriters to drive daily territory performance, sharpen pipeline execution, and keep our sales and service motions running smoothly. You’ll take on elevated targets and accountability beyond the Consumer Underwriter role, tackling complex territory maintenance, prioritizing high‑impact opportunities, and shaping the rhythm of the business. The Work Itself

Maximize portfolio revenue by practicing sound underwriting judgment and risk‑management principles.

Ensure compliance with underwriting policies; elevate risk issues, and stay abreast of constant changes in policy and procedures.

Requires flexibility in work schedule; evening hours and weekends may be required.

Demonstrated strong performance in managing key relationships and/or key markets to drive business plan results.

Some travel is required – you will visit dealers (about twice per year) and participate in team engagement meetings (minimum once per year).

3+ years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years in auto finance underwriting (prime, sub‑prime, and/or non‑prime) is highly preferred.

2+ years leadership experience preferred.

Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise leveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results.

Contribute to and manage projects.

Excellent sales, negotiation, problem solving, analytical, and project management skills.

Exemplary dealer relationship management skills.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs.

Base Pay Range $70,000 – $120,000 USD
