Disaster Relief Volunteer - Serve Your Community in ME

American Red Cross of Northern New England, Farmington, ME, United States

The American Red Cross, through its strong network of volunteers, donors and partners, is always there in times of need. We aspire to turn compassion into action so that all people affected by disaster across the country and around the world receive care, shelter and hope; our communities are ready and prepared for disasters; everyone in our country has access to safe, lifesaving blood and blood products; all members of our armed services and their families find support and comfort whenever needed; and in an emergency, there are always trained individuals nearby, ready to use their Red Cross skills to save lives. American Red Cross Disaster Volunteers are neighbors helping neighbors, trained and ready to respond in times of need. The Red Cross in Maine has openings throughout the state for committed volunteers willing to help in times of disaster and crisis. Whether you’re an individual who wants to join a Disaster Action Team (local, small disaster response), a sheltering or logistics volunteer helping to support a large-scale disaster, a licensed mental health or health care professional assisting disaster victims with psychological or medical needs, or an organization or company who wants to form a group of coworkers to respond together as a team, we'd love to hear from you.
