Are you a persuasive communicator with a passion for renewable energy? We are looking for a driven Inside Solar Sales Consultant to join our team representing a leader in roof-integrated solar technology. In this role, you will be the primary point of contact for homeowners looking to transition to sustainable energy solutions, guiding them from initial interest to a closed contract.
This is a Hybrid position where you can work out of our Kansas City, MO office (with a 4:1 hybrid schedule) or remotely from the Austin, TX or California areas. Please note that remote team members will be required to travel to Kansas City for initial training.
The Role at a Glance Your mission is to drive the adoption of innovative solar technology by educating potential customers on its financial and environmental benefits. You will manage the full sales cycle—from lead qualification to contract execution—entirely through digital channels.
Key Responsibilities Consultative Selling: Conduct professional "virtual kitchen table" consultations using Zoom or Microsoft Teams to demonstrate the benefits of our solar solutions. High-Volume Outreach: Manage a robust pipeline of inbound and outbound leads via phone, email, and SMS. Remote Technical Assessments: Utilize high-resolution satellite imagery and LIDAR data (using tools like Aurora or Helioscope) to design solar arrays and estimate production. Financial Strategy: Virtually walk customers through complex financing options, tax credit eligibility, and long-term utility savings. CRM Accuracy: Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce or similar CRMs to ensure precise follow-ups and seamless project handoffs.
What You Bring to the Table Proven Track Record: 2+ years of high-volume inside sales experience (experience in SaaS, Solar, or Home Improvement is preferred). Digital Fluency: Expert-level comfort with video conferencing, screen-sharing etiquette, and digital signature platforms like DocuSign. Communication Mastery: Proven ability to build rapport and handle objections effectively over the phone and through written communication. Efficiency: Strong time-management skills with the ability to manage 10–15 scheduled consultations per day. Home Office Setup: If working remotely, you must have a dedicated, professional home office with high-speed internet and a noise-canceling environment.
