Job Summary
Seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Claims Representative II - Auto to join a team. In this role, you will be responsible for adjusting and settling claims across all lines of business written by the company, with settlement authority up to $20,000. This is a hybrid position requiring three days on-site and two days remote work each week. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Property and Casualty claims, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Compensation Package
Salary Range: $55,000 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities
Handle claims in accordance with company guidelines and the Unfair Claims Practices Act.
Verify policy coverage for assigned claims.
Investigate and evaluate claims, negotiating for appropriate settlements.
Assign independent adjusters, appraisers, and staff Field Claims Representatives as needed.
Pursue subrogation, salvage, and third-party liability contributions.
Notify Claims Supervisor or Manager of claims exceeding $20,000 settlement authority.
Establish proper reserves for assigned claims.
Report claim complaints, questionable submissions, and potential fraud to the appropriate supervisor or manager.
Attend claim seminars and participate in claim associations.
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisors or managers.
Qualifications / Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-2 years of Property and Casualty claims experience required for Claims Representative II.
Knowledge of Property and Casualty insurance coverages and terms preferred.
Ability to learn the coverages of all insurance policies written by the company.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in using company computer systems.
Willingness to pursue insurance-related study courses, with a preference for candidates aiming to attain the AIC designation.
Flexibility to work varied hours and travel to company offices in Pennsylvania, Ohio, and South Dakota, as well as vendor work sites.
Ability to work in an office environment with moderate noise levels, remain stationary for extended periods, and operate a computer.
Capability to move work materials weighing up to 10 pounds daily.
Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
