Overview

The Account Manager maintains and expands relationships with assigned account base customers, with the goal of maximizing sales/profit for every account and expanding CR market penetration within the assigned area. The Account Manager represents the entire range of company products and services to assigned customers, leads the customer account planning cycle, and ensures customers’ needs and expectations are met by the company. This role builds and sustains productive relationships with current customers and prospects to grow sales and expand CR penetration with Designers, Architects and Builders’ segments. Responsibilities

Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts. Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, to meet account performance objectives and customers’ expectations. Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts. Leads a joint company account planning process that develops mutual performance objectives, financial targets, and milestones for one and three years. Assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis. Develops a sales action plan to service accounts with high growth potential, collects strategic intel, and develops leads from existing account base to better infiltrate designers, architects, and builders as potential customers. Participates with local professional organizations linked with CR's tactics and strategies. Creates and executes plans to introduce and implement CR products in showrooms and key accounts to create demand; expands Pompeii brand penetration by assigning more displays to qualified customers/locations. Leads solution development efforts that address customer needs, coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel. Accountabilities and Performance Measures

Meets profitability expectations and customer objectives defined by management. Completes customer account plans that meet company standards. Coordinates executive involvement with customers as needed. Works with Customer Service Representatives to ensure customer satisfaction and problem resolution. Meets quarterly target expectations for CR-Display programs when posted. Visits each customer with displays at least once per month and provides a mandatory report of visits via email to the Director of Sales. Plans and organizes territory/region and conducts weekly sales calls. Develops an action plan to approach designers, architects and builders following leads found during weekly visits. Promotes and delivers product knowledge at customer locations and invites customers to CR branches when possible. Leverages branch events to increase sales. Requirements, Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree or a proven track record of at least 10 years of sales and marketing experience. Knowledge or experience in the building materials industry preferred. Ability to understand CR's competitors, including capabilities and past history, and develop plans to compete effectively. Detail-oriented, highly organized with a hunter mentality in developing and executing strategic plans. Ability to discover, create, and develop new opportunities. Excellent verbal and writing skills, with the drive and competitiveness to succeed. Minimum 50% travel required on a regional basis to cover the territory. Personal Attributes
