Sales & Education Advisor - San Diego (Freelance)

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced beauty advisor that is passionate about the clean color category and safe, performance‑driven ingredients. The advisor will champion the ILIA lifestyle, drive sales, train store teams, and elevate the in‑store client experience in the San Diego metro area. This role reports to the Sales, Artistry & Education Account Coordinator, San Diego.
Key Responsibilities
Sales:
Drive and exceed sales goals through store visits, support, events, and relationship building. Coordinate visit schedules, create monthly calendars, and execute corporate initiatives.
Training, Events & Education:
Educate store teams on hero products, train associates on key selling behaviors, track event sales impact, and innovate sales strategies.
Calendar Execution:
Activate the visit calendar, recap store successes in T‑Sheets, and provide detailed weekly business recap.
Communication:
Maintain regular status calls with managers, collaborate with store leadership on brand opportunities, and communicate stock concerns.
Qualifications & Requirements
Must have reliable transportation.
2+ years of beauty industry experience as a professional make‑up artist or brand ambassador.
Currently live in the San Diego metropolitan area.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings and holidays.
Exceptional time management and communication skills.
Ability to work on your feet for 6‑8 hours.
Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.
1+ years Sephora training and selling experience with established relationships.
Passion for the Clean Beauty category.
Compensation & Benefits
Base rate: $25‑28 per hour*
