MetLife Regional Market Account Executive As a MetLife Regional Market Account Executive, you will be responsible for selling and maintaining a book of business for customers with 2 to 5,000 employees. You will have the opportunity to distribute MetLife’s Group Benefits portfolio, which includes life, dental, disability, vision, group legal, accident & health, whole life, and more. The role requires managing both the top and bottom‑line performance of the books of business.

Key Responsibilities

Identify and foster new client relationships.

Sell Group Benefits products and services through brokers for life group benefits markets up to 4,999 employees.

Grow the book of business through proactive product sales, upsells, and renewals within the assigned territory.

Maintain ongoing relationships with existing customers and brokers.

Partner with internal resources (Client Service team) to identify opportunities to grow existing relationships.

Develop a strategic sales approach to acquire new clients based on buying influences, risk factors, and business objectives.

Recognize, shape, and deliver profitable deals, anticipating strategic developments that benefit both the customer and MetLife.

Leverage the full suite of MetLife’s benefit offerings to position multi‑product solutions.

Participate in strategic account planning processes to build lasting reciprocal relationships through open communication.

Collaborate with MetLife’s Product, Marketing, Client Services, Legal, Enterprise Relationship Management, and Finance organizations as needed.

Provide financial consultation to client organizations, considering financial decision making for both MetLife and the client.

Track sales and prospecting activity, progress, and strategies.

Set expectations and drive a successful implementation experience.

Perform other related duties as assigned or required.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills

Minimum 3–5 years of experience successfully selling/servicing related products.

Ability to attain required licensing (Life & Health, Property & Casualty) or obtain it within six months of hire.

Excellent partnership and influencing skills.

Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

Highly skilled at listening to prospect needs and translating them into workable solutions.

Ability to probe for additional detail and identify root cause or unstated needs.

Strong financial acumen regarding product earnings.

Strategic and creative thinking skills.

Strong organizational skills and ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively.

Highly adaptable and capable of working in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Accomplished change‑management leader, able to operate effectively in a highly matrixed environment.

The expected salary range for this position is $50,000. This role may also be eligible for incentive compensation under the sales plan for the position. All incentives and benefits are subject to the applicable plan terms.
