We are currently seeking a Senior Business Analyst - Payments Transformation (Wire Payments) to join our team in the United States (US). Job Title: Senior Business Analyst Payments Transformation (Wire Payments) Location: United States (US-based candidates only) Hybrid / On-site as required - Charlotte, NC or Newark, NJ preferred Role Overview: We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with deep experience in wire payments to support a large-scale Payments Transformation program. This role will focus on modernizing wire processing capabilities across Fedwire, SWIFT, and CHIPS, working closely with product, operations, compliance, and engineering teams. The ideal candidate has worked hands-on with wire processing flows, understands US and cross-border wire requirements end to end, and can guide requirements and design for complex, regulated payment systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Lead requirements definition for wire payments transformation initiatives. Provide subject matter expertise across Fedwire, SWIFT, and CHIPS. Analyze and document end-to-end wire processing flows, from initiation through settlement. Translate business and regulatory needs into functional and non-functional requirements. Partner with engineering and architecture teams to guide solution design and modernization. Support data mapping, message standards, and integration design. Identify operational, regulatory, and settlement risks and drive mitigation strategies. Support testing strategy, user acceptance testing (UAT), and implementation readiness. Required Wire Payments Expertise (Must-Have): Candidates must have strong hands-on experience in wire payments, including: Fedwire Funds Service (US domestic wires) SWIFT (MT and/or ISO 20022 message flows) CHIPS payment processing and settlement concepts Wire initiation, validation, repair, and release processes Cut-off times, settlement windows, and liquidity considerations Investigations, recalls, amendments, and exceptions Sanctions screening, AML, and compliance controls related to wires Required Skills (Must-Have): Strong documentation and analytical skills. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years' professional experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar role supporting wire payments in the financial services industry. 5+ years' professional experience in Fedwire, SWIFT, and CHIPS wire payment flows. 5+ years' professional experience translating business and regulatory requirements into functional specifications. Must be located in the United States and able to work in a hybrid or on-site capacity as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience supporting payments transformation or modernization projects. Knowledge of ISO 20022 migration and implementation. Familiarity with operational risk, settlement, and compliance in payment systems.
