Role Description We are seeking a Junior Interior Designer for a part-time to full-time hybrid position based in Alpharetta, GA, with flexibility for some remote work and some required in-office work. In this role, you will collaborate with senior designers to assist in the creation of thoughtful and functional spaces. Key responsibilities include assisting floor plans and space planning, drawing elevations, creating accurate 3D renderings in SketchUp, sourcing furniture, fixtures, and construction finishes, and contributing to project presentations and design documentation. You will also communicate with vendors and contractors to help ensure smooth project execution.
Qualifications
Proficiency in space planning and expertise in understanding functional and aesthetic spatial arrangements.
Foundational knowledge in Architecture, construction drawings, and the elements of design
Experience sourcing furniture, fixtures, materials and equipment. Knowledge of trade vendors preferred.
Proficiency with SketchUp and computer drafting floor plans and elevations.
An acute attention to detail and ability to execute high level design elements.
Strong organizational and communication skills to collaborate with contractors, vendors and team members.
Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Basic knowledge of construction processes and elements involved in Kitchen and Bath Design.
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design with portfolio or Associates Degree with relevant work experience.
1-2 years of interior design work preferred.
