Marketing & Communications Intern
to join our growing team in
Daytona Beach, FL!
This full-time summer internship will support Brown & Brown’s continued focus on the Marketing & Communications team with creation, implementation and ongoing maintenance of key projects.
How You Will Contribute:
Written communication – writes content, edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is proficient in reading, interpreting, and generating written information.
Content design – create branded content in design applications, similar to Canva
Oral communication – speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and demonstrates group presentation skills.
Team player – works well with others, is reliable, makes teammates a priority, and is committed to helping the team achieve success.
Quality control – demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness and monitors own work to ensure quality.
Can-do attitude- eager to learn, takes initiative, and works relentlessly until success is achieved.
Proactive, independent self-starter – begins work, takes on projects, and generates new ideas without being told or encouraged to do so.
Project management & organization skills – ability to multi-task, prioritize projects & tasks, successfully develop timelines, and manage deadlines.
Interpersonal skills – maintains confidentiality, remains open to others' ideas, and is willing to try new things.
Problem solving – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, and maintains confidentiality.
Adaptability – can easily adapt to changes in work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
Skills & Experience to Be Successful:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a college or university degree in Communications, Public Relations, Graphic Design, Digital Media, or related curriculum
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
