Job Description:

We are seeking a full-time Social Media Program Manager to help be the social voice for the gaming Marketplace. In this role, you will partner across the Social & Influencer and broader marketing teams to help manage and drive awareness and engagement for Marketplace content on our owned social media channels, create, and implement social strategies and campaigns, and engage with players and brands, and influencers on our social media platforms.

In the role of Social Media Manager, you will report to our Organic Social Lead. Your focus will be on managing content calendars, scheduling, drafting copy and posting on our social media channels, as well as monitoring (including potential for light moderation duties) analytics and reporting.

We are seeking an energetic, creative self-starter with superb communication skills, and passion for gaming. Other competencies include a familiarity with Minecraft, understanding of current social media trends, and ability to skillfully drive community growth and engagement. You will need to be self-motivated, organized, and able to adapt quickly (as is the nature of social media).

SCOPE OF WORK

Lead social planning and execution for gaming Marketplace initiatives, ensuring alignment with our broader brand voice, social strategy, and Marketplace business objectives.

Partner closely with Marketplace, Product Marketing, and Integrated Marketing teams to understand priorities, timelines, and success metrics, and translate them into effective social approaches and content plans.

Serve as a strategic connector between business objectives and creative execution, shaping briefs and recommendations that enable the Creative Team to deliver culturally relevant, high‑performing social content.

Maintain a strong pulse on culture, platform trends, and creator ecosystems, identifying opportunities to authentically connect cultural moments to gaming Marketplace and player behavior.

Perform day‑to‑day Marketplace social operations, including content planning, calendar management, copy development, publishing, community engagement, and light moderation, ensuring a high‑quality and consistent presence across channels.

Create, curate, and elevate Marketplace social content at scale, highlighting creators, UGC, and community moments to drive engagement, discovery, and sustained interest.

Track and interpret social performance across Marketplace initiatives, contributing to campaign reporting and dashboards while using data and insights to optimize content and demonstrate impact against Marketplace goals.

REQUIREMENTS

5 years of experience in social media strategy planning, goal setting, and implementation.

Minecraft knowledge and experience is strongly preferred.

Experience managing high volume social media channels for well‑known video game publishers, video game equipment manufacturers or similar organizations within/supporting gaming sector is mandatory.

Exceptional knowledge of social media, which means you stay

Ability to influence without authority.

Competent with Office 365 and analytics tools (Sprinklr and native social media analytics experience preferred)

Copywriting experience for social media and an ability to easily adapt to tone of voice.

Excellent data analysis and storytelling skills.
