Commercial Marketing Manager

The Commercial Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and programs for the MJUS brand portfolio. This role oversees the shopper marketing agency relationship, builds strong partnerships with on- and off-premise commercial and trade partners, understands their needs, and drives sales through impactful, data-driven marketing initiatives.

Marketing Strategy & Execution

Lead the development and execution of marketing strategies for both on-premise and off-premise channels within the MJUS portfolio, including segmentation, brand standards, and execution zones informed by data insights

Design and implement impactful commercial marketing programs in partnership with the shopper marketing agency and commercial team to drive KPIs and foster brand growth

Plan, manage, and execute quarterly tentpole commercial programs, tailoring versions for each channel to ensure brand consistency, consumer engagement, and compliance

Develop supplemental programming to support brand partnerships and extend initiatives to the commercial team as needed

Create clear consumer journeys for all programs to deliver a seamless and easily communicated experience

Provide strategic support through educational materials, including presentations, sell sheets, and other resources to enable effective execution

Manage and maintain the commercial calendar, ensuring alignment and integration with broader commercial team initiatives

Collaborate with Regional Execution Directors to recap program performance, assess results, and identify insights for future optimization

Creative/POS Support

Collaborate with the shopper marketing agency to conceptualize and develop POS tools for each promotional period, ensuring they effectively support the commercial team in achieving KPIs

Partner with the POS team to deliver tools on time and within budget for all promotional programs

Lead creative processes, including briefings, reviews, and approvals for MJUS portfolio key visuals (KVs), POS materials, sell sheets, and mock-ups across on- and off-premise channels, working closely with the internal graphic designer to ensure high-quality outputs

Budget Management

Steward of the Jägermeister commercial marketing budget, overseeing planning, tracking, and reporting of all marketing initiatives using the designated tracker

Proactively identify risks and opportunities on a monthly basis to ensure optimal budget utilization and alignment with business objectives

Implementation & Sourcing

Collaborate with third-party vendors to develop and execute consumer offers for each program, ensuring timely and complete delivery in support of commercial team KPIs

Engage in cross-functional collaboration with internal commercial, brand, and legal teams to ensure seamless execution and compliance

Market Analysis & Understanding

Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior within the commercial environment, leveraging data insights to adapt marketing strategies and uncover growth opportunities

Strong commercial acumen with the ability to understand business drivers, prioritize opportunities, and translate marketing initiatives to sales audience

Solid understanding of the 3‑tier system and how suppliers, distributors, and retailers work together to bring products to market

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field

5+ years of experience in commercial marketing, with a proven track record of success in the spirits/ beverage industry

Excellent strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to translate insights into actionable marketing strategies

Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all deliverables, timelines, and communications. Proven ability to manage multiple projects at once with different timelines, priorities, and cross functional collaboration. Strong project management skills, including tracking progress, meeting deadlines, and communicating updates

Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams

Understanding of brand management, customer segmentation, and market research methodologies

Proficiency in marketing analytics tools
