BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for developing Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) strategic ship deployment plans. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the team in the production of deployment plans and any deployment-related ad hoc analyses, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Develop planned figures for new deployments and provide recurring forecast numbers, ensuring alignment with company objectives and market dynamics.
Supervise, monitor and evaluate in-depth analysis of historical data to recommend optimal deployment plans that maximize ticket and onboard revenue for the company.
Develop blocking plan proposals outlining various deployment scenarios to optimize revenue generation and guest satisfaction.
Supervise, monitor and evaluate comprehensive analyses to ensure compliance with contractual obligations in target markets, mitigating risks and maximizing returns.
Supervise, monitor and evaluate the performance of existing deployments and identify opportunities for revenue maximization through strategic redeployment in lucrative markets.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including the Air team, Destinations team, Marina Operations, Revenue Management, and Port Operations to gather feedback on deployment plans, aiming to reduce operational challenges and enhance guest satisfaction while maximizing total yield.
Continuously evaluate industry trends and market conditions to inform deployment strategy adjustments and capitalize on emerging opportunities for revenue growth.
Drive innovation in deployment planning processes and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in achieving revenue targets.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Overview

BASIC PURPOSE: Responsible for the creation of a wide variety of visual assets in all media including print, video, web and interactive. Serve as brand steward building the brand platform, look & feel, through all projects. Coordinate and communicate effectively with business owners, marketing reps, the creative director, writers and production artists to ensure that the visual design successfully delivers on the desired message and business objective.

Responsibilities

Develop extremely high quality and sophisticated creative concepts for print, digital and interactive media that reflect strategy and are compliant with and build Norwegian's brand.
Supervise all aspects of photo shoots including budgets, photographer selection, casting, shot selection, scheduling and art direction.
Responsible for the delivery of wide variety of projects on time and within given budgets.
Create high-quality collateral pieces from New Ship Inaugurals materials to Fleet and Destination brochures that can range from single pages up to 140 pages.
Collaborate with Copywriters and Creative Manager to ensure all work is consistently meeting creative brand standards.
Provide senior level expert creative direction for development of assets with external vendors and partners including illustrators, photographers and digital agencies.
Work autonomously on strategic issues with clients and is capable of managing a variety of projects ranging from small pieces to complex multichannel campaigns.
Successfully manage a large workload while bringing fresh direction and insight for a large variety of projects.
Supervise, train and coach junior designers, production artists and external vendors to ensure work meets the highest creative standards.
Deliver internal presentations to senior management.
Ensure and oversee creative execution of the highest quality ensuring that all projects are released to error-free to vendors and meet the highest possible production standards. Adheres to creative department policies and procedures for quality control and work quality.
Serve as a Brand Steward assisting the creative department adhere to and develop brand positioning.
Perform other job related functions as assigned.

Education and Experience

EDUCATION: Bachelor\\'s Degree in Graphic Design and/or Advertising preferably from Design/Fine Art Institution or equivalent experience required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years\\' experience in a corporate or agency creative department required. Cruise or travel industry experience a plus. Global advertising agency experience preferred.

Knowledge & Skills

Must have strong graphic design skills.
Capable of leading and executing all creative aspects of a project as needed and have demonstrated an ability to work well under pressure, manage multiple projects simultaneously and have a strong business acumen.
Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Detail oriented with the ability to prepare files that are printer ready and meet exacting production standards.
Strong conceptual skills, including creative design solutions within the constraints of the Internet.
Exceptional client interaction skills exhibited in past job experience.
Fluency in current graphic design practices and web production software, such as Adobe Creative Suite.
Ability to create superior, original designs for Print and the Web; and high quality printer ready files.
Candidate must present a PDF portfolio of sample work to be considered.
Position requires some travel for photography/video shoots on board our ships and/or on location and for occasional organizational activities and events.

Fleet Manager, NCL Shore Excursions Sales & Operation s plays a critical role in elevating onboard sales performance and developing high‑performing Shorex teams across the Norwegian Cruise Line fleet. This role supports the Manager, NCL Shore Excursions Sales by coaching Shore Excursions Managers and their teams, identifying performance gaps, implementing strategic sales initiatives, and fostering a culture of accountability, enthusiasm, and guest‑centric service. This position requires constant travel to ships to provide hands‑on support, conduct training, assess team dynamics, and deliver real‑time feedback that drives results. With a strong emphasis on team building, motivation, and frontline leadership, the Fleet Manager champions a ‘yes‑if’ attitude and inspires teams to exceed revenue targets and guest satisfaction benchmarks.

Essential Functions

Provide direct support to shipboard Shore Excursions Managers to optimize revenue performance and guest satisfaction scores.

Coach and mentor onboard teams in sales technique, product knowledge, service delivery, and leadership development.

Conduct onboard visits to deliver targeted training, team workshops, and one‑on‑one performance coaching.

Partner with the Manager, NCL Shore Excursions Sales & Operations to evaluate talent, build staffing plans, and identify high‑potential team members.

Foster a positive, goal‑oriented culture that emphasizes creativity, sales ownership, and guest connection.

Support the rollout of sales campaigns, contests, and initiatives across the fleet to boost participation and team engagement.

Monitor performance metrics and recommend targeted actions to improve individual or ship‑level results.

Lead onboarding, shadowing, and refresher training for new or transitioning Shore Excursion staff.

Collaborate with Operations and Training teams to standardize tools, training materials, and SOPs fleetwide.

Track and elevate operational or guest experience issues identified during ship visits and follow through to resolution.

Champion team morale and recognition by celebrating success stories and acknowledging top performers.

Assist with succession planning and crew development by creating individualized growth plans for team members.

Stay updated on destination trends, tour feedback, and brand objectives to align shipboard strategies accordingly.

Represent the sales voice of the fleet in internal planning discussions and cross‑departmental meetings.

Manages a sub‑section of ships (4+) defined by region / season.

Responsible for setting standards, policies, and performance goals for the shipboard Shore Excursion Sales teams.

Collaborates cross‑functionally to implement programs, resolve issues, and support continuous improvement based on guest and team feedback.

Perform other job‑related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum 5+ years of experience as a Shore Excursion / Destination Manager or similar leadership role onboard.

Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and leading high‑performing teams.

Experience managing 4–10 team members in a hospitality or travel sales environment.

Expertise in global destinations, tour products, and itinerary planning, particularly in Alaska, Caribbean, Europe, and the Med.

Strong facilitation skills and comfort speaking in front of groups and conducting onboard training sessions.

Proficiency with cruise operations systems (Fidelio, MXP, Otalio) and Microsoft Office Suite.

Excellent interpersonal, conflict‑resolution, and motivational skills.

Fluent English required; additional languages are an asset.

Education

High School Diploma or foreign equivalent required.

Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field preferred.

Relevant experience may substitute formal education at an equivalent rate.
