Communications & Event Marketing Intern - UNC Health Championship | Korn Ferry Tour The Communications and Marketing Department is seeking a motivated intern to support planning and execution of Raleigh’s premier golf event, the UNC Health Championship, part of the PGA Korn Ferry Tour.
This internship provides hands‑on experience in sports marketing, communications, and large‑scale event operations. The selected candidate will assist with promotion, planning, and execution of the 2026 tournament, working closely with the team responsible for delivering an event that attracts thousands of fans, sponsors, and community partners each year.
This position is ideal for a recent high school graduate or college student interested in gaining experience in sports marketing, public relations, event planning, or community engagement.
Schedule & Availability Candidates must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid driver’s license, and be available to work on‑site according to the following schedule:
April – May 15: 4–12 hours per week
May 18 – May 31: 30 hours per week
June 1 – June 12: 4–12 hours per week
Additional hours may be required during tournament week and advance week. Locations may vary between Raleigh, Chapel Hill, and Morrisville.
Responsibilities Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Supporting marketing and public relations efforts for the tournament
Assisting with community outreach and local partner engagement
Helping coordinate event planning logistics and tournament activities
Supporting sponsorship activation and fulfillment of sponsor benefits
Assisting with volunteer coordination and communications
Supporting vendor management and event logistics
Providing general administrative and operational support leading up to and during the tournament
Other Information Education Requirements:
High School diploma or GED
Licensure/Certification Requirements:
No licensure or certification required.
Professional Experience Requirements:
Prior education, training and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.
