Job Summary The Email Marketing Generalist supports the timely, accurate, and high-quality execution of member-facing email communications. This role focuses on fulfilling assigned email requests, building and reviewing emails, applying the correct segmentation from established playbooks, and ensuring each message reaches the right members at the right time. The position helps maintain consistency across channels by following established templates, brand voice guidance, and operational processes. This role is detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to delivering clear, member-focused messages that enhance the member experience.
Key Responsibilities
Email Build Execution:
Develop, assemble, and format emails in HubSpot using approved templates, ensuring clean layouts, accurate content, and a smooth reader experience.
Request Fulfillment:
Complete assigned email requests on schedule, following established processes, segmentation rules, and template guidelines.
Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough QA checks: links, tracking, layout alignment, accessibility basics, and mobile responsiveness. Ensure polished delivery.
Reporting Support:
Pull standard email performance reports in HubSpot and assist with top-line insights for internal teams.
Process Adherence:
Follow the established email playbook, maintaining consistency in formatting, content structure, and deployment workflows.
Collaboration & Intake:
Work with internal teams to clarify request details, confirm required assets, and ensure emails are set up according to expectations.
Template Stewardship:
Maintain familiarity with available templates and support layout adjustments with Creative teams to improve clarity and readability.
Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent experience.
OR 2+ years managing email campaigns for enterprise-level businesses.

Required:
Demonstrated experience building marketing emails, newsletters, or automated sends within an email platform.
Ability to follow established processes, segmentation rules, and audience playbooks with accuracy and consistency.
Strong attention to detail in layout, formatting, and link accuracy, with an eye for clean, accessible email presentation.
Comfort working through a steady queue of assigned tasks and meeting deadlines with reliable turnaround.
Basic understanding of email performance metrics and how they guide improvements to builds and structure.
Ability to QA emails for rendering issues, copy accuracy, formatting, and correct audience selection.
Strong organizational skills and a willingness to document completed work and follow operational steps.
Experience collaborating with requesters to clarify requirements and ensure builds meet expectations.
HubSpot Email Marketing Certification or HubSpot Reporting Certification is a plus.
Hands-on experience with HubSpot email tools, workflows, segmentation, or email design background is a plus.

UX Awareness:
Understands how copy length, layout, visual hierarchy, and mobile responsiveness influence reader experience and applies these principles when building emails.
Data Awareness:
Recognizes foundational performance metrics such as opens, clicks, and delivery rates and uses them to inform small adjustments that improve execution quality.
