Location: Spokane, WA | Full-Time | On-Site | $25/hr (DOE)
Strohmaier Design & Build is seeking a talented
Junior Interior Designer
to join our creative team. This is an ideal role for someone early in their career who is eager to grow within a high-end design-build environment. You’ll receive hands‑on mentorship from our Design Director while contributing to residential projects from concept through construction.
Qualifications
1–3 years of interior design experience (design-build preferred)
Degree in Interior Design or related field
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
Familiarity with Buildertrend a plus
Excellent organization, time management, and attention to detail
Responsibilities
Assist senior designers on large-scale residential projects
Independently manage small projects (under $200K) with oversight
Participate in as-built drawings and client presentations
Prepare construction documents (CDs) with weekly Design Director feedback
Learn to track project calendars and time allocation
Maintain weekly project status updates and internal To Do’s
Attend all in-house meetings and product trainings
Begin to understand construction methods, pricing, and trade roles
Redline your own work before Design Director review
