Camp Conquest – Millington, TN
Position Overview: Camp Conquest is a nonprofit Christian overnight summer camp serving children and adults with special needs and disabilities since 2013. During the off-season, Camp Conquest operates as a Christian conference and retreat center. Our mission is to provide “attentive hospitality”—consistently exceeding guests’ expectations through exceptional service, facilities, and experiences. The Guest Services Director serves as the primary liaison between Camp Conquest and our guests, including camp staff and retreat rental groups. This role coordinates guest needs with camp operations to ensure an outstanding experience for all who visit the property. As part of a team committed to serving both guests and one another, the Guest Services Director anticipates needs and responds with professionalism, discretion, and Christ-like hospitality. This position also helps strengthen Camp Conquest’s reputation and brand while supporting the organization’s mission and ministry. The Guest Services Director must affirm and operate in accordance with Camp Conquest’s Statement of Faith.
Key Responsibilities Spiritual Leadership
Model Christ in words, actions, and attitude.
Promote and represent Camp Conquest’s mission, core values, and strategic plan.
Provide spiritual encouragement and leadership to guests, campers, volunteers, staff, donors, and families.
Maintain a growing personal relationship with Jesus Christ and pursue ongoing spiritual growth.
Guest Hospitality & Experience
Demonstrate Christ-centered hospitality toward all guests and staff.
Serve as host for retreat and guest groups, coordinating their experience while on campus.
Communicate with guest groups before and during their stay to coordinate schedules, meals, and activities.
Develop relationships with group leaders and understand their goals in order to exceed expectations.
Prepare quotes, invoices, waivers, and guest group policies prior to arrival.
Coordinate room setups and meeting spaces for groups of various sizes.
Assist groups with program needs, recreation equipment, sound systems, and audiovisual support.
Deliver brief orientations and safety instructions to guest groups.
Assist with recreational activities such as zipline, ropes courses, archery, canoeing, water activities, parties, and events.
Camp Operations
Support the development, operation, and maintenance of recreational and program areas.
Assist with training and supervision of campers, volunteers, summer staff, and work crews.
Ensure staff and volunteers understand their responsibilities, safety guidelines, and performance standards.
Maintain program equipment and supplies.
Assist with program budgeting and ordering necessary supplies.
Help develop new activities and programs that enhance the camp experience.
Collaborate with other departments to support overall camp operations.
Team Collaboration
Work collaboratively with the Camp Conquest staff team in support of the organization’s mission.
Cultivate strong working relationships with staff, volunteers, and guests.
Communicate openly and contribute to a healthy, Christ-centered work culture.
Attend staff meetings, staff conferences, and devotional gatherings.
Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth camp operations.
General Expectations
Represent Camp Conquest positively and professionally within the community.
Maintain a welcoming, servant-hearted attitude.
Assist other departments as needed at the discretion of the Leadership Team.
Observe and report unsafe conditions.
Respond professionally to radio communication and operational requests.
Operate camp vehicles safely and responsibly.
Maintain appropriate personal boundaries with staff, volunteers, and guests.

Work Conditions Work Location Work occurs in a variety of environments including offices, outdoor program areas, challenge course elements, and waterfront areas. Occasional travel may be required for training, conferences, or promoting Camp Conquest.
Physical Requirements
This position involves active work including:
Setting up tables, chairs, and equipment
Operating vehicles and tools
Walking long distances
Lifting and moving equipment
Outdoor activities
Work Environment
Work may occur outdoors 50–75% of the time, depending on the season. The role interacts with children, teenagers, adults, and volunteers of all ages.
Hours of Work
This role requires a non-traditional schedule, including early mornings, evenings, and some weekends on a rotating basis. Extended workdays may occur during camps or large retreats.
Hazards
Camp activities include potential risks such as water activities, challenge courses, zipline, archery, and other outdoor recreation.

Why work at Camp Conquest Camp Conquest is a Christian overnight camp that encourages individuals affected by disability to try new things they never imagined possible. As they conquer activities like a 2-story rock wall, gliding down a zipline, canoeing, or horseback riding, campers build confidence that will shape the rest of their lives. We serve ages 6 and up. Cabin Staff will oversee a group of 4-5 campers as well as 4-5 volunteers. Campers and volunteers are paired in a 1:1 ratio for one week. Come join our team and serve others as the hands and feet of Christ.
