Overview
Amazon Technical Writer Summer Internship is open to upper-division undergraduate students and graduate students of any level who are 18 years of age and older and who are majoring in technical writing, design, human-centered interaction, psychology, computer science, or related disciplines. To be considered for this role, you should have experience writing high-quality technical content for technical audiences (e.g., engineers, developers, scientists) and writing content that is clear, well-organized, and grammatically correct. You must also have at least two writing samples or projects, demonstrating past experience and deliverables of writing samples (website, link, reports, portfolio, etc.). As an intern, you will create content and improve existing content that benefits Amazon’s customers. In this role, you will learn to understand customers’ needs through collaboration and planning. You will work alongside senior leaders to test, verify, and adapt working scripts and procedures that demonstrate how to use technical products. You will utilize customer-centric writing, design, and research methodologies and will be assessed on your ability to communicate project status to your manager and stakeholders on a regular basis.
