Loan Documentation Specialist – Typing Loans

Job Description The Loan Documentation Specialist is responsible for typing and processing documents necessary for loan package completion. He/she handles provides clerical support for all lending activities and provides high quality and professional service to lending personnel.

Qualifications

Must be at least 18 years old

High school diploma or GED required

Experience helpful, particularly in a financial environment

Basic knowledge of commercial and consumer loan services and procedures preferred

Familiarity with general loan documentation helpful

Accurate and attentive to detail

Well organized

Good typing skills

Willing and able to help others

Able to use a computer, adding machine, copy machine, and basic business equipment

Able to get along well with coworkers

Responsibilities

Receives information for loan documentation preparation from various branches through internal software system, prints loan documentation request, and attaches appropriate documentation received via e-mail or fax

Logs loan documentation request form information into internal tracking system including the time received, type and amount of loan, and time requested

Assigns loan numbers to loan requests received and enters information into internal tracking system including responsible loan officer, purpose of loan, filing fees, etc.

Prepares documents for commerical and consumer loan packages by entering data into an automated software system

Verifies accuracy of input and documents as needed

Manually prepares documents as needed

Ensures correct combination of documents will be prepared/received for each transaction in order to secure legal interests for D.L. Evans Bank and asks for assistance from senior members of staff as needed

Sends requested loan documents electronically to branch personnel according to established time frames and procedures

Monitors loan information received according to a checklist to ensure proper supporting documentation and adherence to rate and pricing guidelines as well as approval and approval limits before the loan is typed

Enters information applicable to loan denial letters into internal document system or document template and obtains authorized signatures and mails letters to customers

Ensures timely completion of denial letters to remain compliant with internal loan denial procedures as well as compliance with federal regulations

Assigns a HMDA number to denied real estate loans and prepares appropriate correspondence for signature

Assists with the audit of scanned documents as needed

Keeps management informed of area activities and any significant problems or concerns

Ensures that customers’ requests and questions are promptly resolved

Maintains and projects the Bank’s professional reputation

Promotes D.L. Evans Bank at all times

Serves as a representative for D.L. Evans Bank in the community

Completes special projects as assigned
