Order Support Specialist
The Order Support Specialist manages international transactions received from Fluke distributors, customers, subsidiaries, service centers, and suppliers globally. Responsibilities include customer support, order processing, expediting orders, tracking status, telephone support, monitoring contract commitments, preparing documentation, and ensuring compliance with domestic and international export regulations. This role acts as a liaison between Operations, Shipping, Sales, Finance, and customers to resolve order-related inquiries and escalations. The specialist is responsible for country-level customs requirements, customer-specific account profiles, and coordination with carriers and freight forwarders to meet logistical needs for international customers. This is a critical customer-facing position requiring strong oral and written communication skills. A professional with prior experience in order management, customer support, or a related operational role. This individual applies foundational knowledge of order processing, customer interaction, and transactional accuracy while building proficiency in Fluke systems, international order requirements, and company-specific processes. The role manages standard transactions and customer inquiries while receiving guidance on more complex scenarios, international compliance considerations, and non-standard order situations. As knowledge grows, the specialist develops the ability to independently resolve issues and manage transactions with increasing complexity. Responsibilities include: Provide support to customers, distributors, and sales teams for order-related inquiries. Processes international sales orders with occasional guidance from senior team members. Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance with established procedures. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Shipping, Planning, Operations) to resolve routine inquiries. Monitor sales order status, shipment progress and backlog activities, and communicate updates to customers and internal stakeholders. Assist with reconciliation of purchase orders and pricing accuracy. Support Finance on basic payment documentation when required. Participate in internal audits and training activities to build proficiency. Maintain and update documentation and standard work as directed. Assist with other departmental responsibilities as needed. Escalate complex issues or discrepancies for review and resolution. Participates in daily management and visual management activities. Required skills/abilities include: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience in billing, accounts receivable, financial services, or order management. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Oracle or equivalent ERP system. Understanding of: Freight forwarding and small parcel shipments. Incoterms. International compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook. Bilingual Spanish preferred.
