With 30+ office locations worldwide and more than 70 years of industry experience, we help businesses move freight efficiently while navigating complex import and export regulations. We are seeking an Air Import Specialist to manage import shipments, documentation, and customs clearance for global freight movements. This role works closely with carriers, terminals, and government agencies to ensure shipments move efficiently from arrival to final delivery. Responsibilities Manage the end-to-end movement of international shipments, ensuring cargo is processed and delivered in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Prepare and review import documentation and complete Customs filings in accordance with regulations from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and other government agencies. Coordinate with clients, carriers, government agencies, terminals, and internal teams to ensure smooth cargo movement from arrival to final delivery. Investigate and resolve shipment holds, clearance issues, classification questions, and documentation discrepancies. Schedule pickup appointments and coordinate drayage, rail transfers, and final-mile delivery with transportation providers and port facilities. Provide responsive customer service by delivering shipment updates and addressing client inquiries. Collect and verify product details to ensure accurate tariff classification, valuation, and trade compliance.
