Crucial Hire is a boutique executive search firm in Chicago’s Gold Coast, partnering with CEOs, founders, and CHROs to recruit high-impact HR and People Leadership executives across the Midwest and nationally. Our searches typically place leaders in roles ranging from
$90K to $600K+ total compensation.

Our network and reputation generate real callbacks. Your role is to turn those conversations into relationships. About the Role If you’ve ever been near the
top of a sales team’s call leaderboard , you’ll probably feel right at home here. This role rewards
curiosity, consistency, and the ability to turn a phone call into a relationship.
You’ll spend much of your day speaking with
HR executives, CHROs, and senior business leaders , building trusted relationships that often become executive search opportunities. This is a
voice-forward, relationship-driven role
for someone who enjoys real conversations with decision-makers. This is
not a quiet, behind-the-screen job.
It’s a role for someone who enjoys: • the energy of the phone • the rhythm of daily outreach • the challenge of connecting with senior leaders • the satisfaction of opening doors that weren’t open yesterday You’ll work
in our Gold Coast office alongside the leadership team , learning the executive search industry from the inside. You’ll sit in on real client conversations, observe executive recruiting strategy, and gain exposure to how leadership searches actually unfold. For the right person, this is not just a job. It’s a
launchpad into executive search. What You’ll Do
Initiate
40–60 thoughtful outreach calls per day
to HR leaders and executives, many already in our system who simply need renewed attention. Follow up on
100+ warm leads each month
generated through our network and research Build and maintain a targeted pipeline of HR leaders and companies Identify companies experiencing growth, leadership changes, or hiring momentum Attend Chicago HR networking events and business gatherings Participate in client conversations and candidate interviews Sit in on executive search strategy discussions Represent Crucial Hire with professionalism, curiosity, and confidence This role rewards people who enjoy
consistent outreach, real conversations, and building trust over time. Who Thrives in This Role
