Facilities Community Relations Specialist
to support the Facilities Services Division at LAUSD by helping connect construction projects with the communities they serve. In this role, you will help ensure clear and transparent communication between LAUSD, local communities, school administrators, and public officials throughout the school construction process. As a Facilities Community Relations Specialist, you will serve as a key link between LAUSD construction teams and community stakeholders, helping keep communities informed, engaged, and involved as projects move forward. Salary Range: $85K/Year-$100K/Year - Dependent on Candidate\'s Qualifications Key Responsibilities
Engage with
community groups, school administrators, and local government offices
regarding LAUSD construction projects Implement
community outreach strategies
for assigned projects Plan and coordinate
community meetings, public events, and outreach activities Educate community members about the
school construction process, environmental policies, and project timelines Prepare
reports and informational materials
for presentations to LAUSD leadership and oversight committees Coordinate
special events
such as school groundbreakings, ribbon cuttings, and openings Maintain
project records, outreach documentation, and contact databases Provide information to the public regarding
LAUSD procurement and facilities programs Support additional community engagement initiatives as needed Education
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following or a related field: Public Relations Community Relations Urban Planning Business Administration Public Administration Relevant experience may substitute for education on a
year-for-year basis for up to two years . Experience
Minimum
4 years of professional experience
in community outreach, public relations, or community engagement Experience organizing
community campaigns, outreach programs, or public meetings Skills
Strong
communication and presentation skills Ability to work with
diverse communities and stakeholders Knowledge of
public relations principles and local government structures Strong
organizational and detail-oriented work style Experience preparing
