Responsibilities
The Postdoctoral Scholar will conduct advanced research under the supervision and mentorship of Prof. Stanna Dorn in the Department of Chemistry. Central responsibilities include advancing research directives within organic/organometallic chemistry. The candidate will develop a focused area of research and participate in professional development activities as a basis for future independent research careers in industry, academia, or beyond. The position may also involve mentoring junior researchers, assisting with equipment setup and maintenance, participating in grant writing and budgeting, and contributing to teaching or outreach depending on the needs of the unit. The candidate will also be responsible for supporting general laboratory oversight including but not limited to ordering, equipment maintenance, mentoring and general lab support. In some fields, fieldwork or handling biological or chemical materials may be required. Appropriate safety training will be provided. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience) Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline Demonstrated research experience and record of scholarly productivity Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively Commitment to fostering equitable research and learning environments Desirable Qualifications
Anticipated Pay Range $62,232 Other Information
