Overview

BioCT is the trade association for the life sciences industry in Connecticut. Our mission is to catalyze and accelerate growth in the life sciences with the goal of improving human health, by fostering a rich, innovative ecosystem and promoting Connecticut as a preferred destination for life science exploration and innovation. As a lean, member-driven organization, our membership reflects the diversity of the state’s life sciences community, which includes academic institutions, government entities, non-profits, advocacy groups, professional services providers and pharmaceutical, medical device and life sciences companies. At BioCT, each day is different, and each team member makes a meaningful contribution. There will be opportunities to engage with members and prospects, assist with and attend events, participate in various marketing activities and explore the innovative life sciences industry in Connecticut. This is an unpaid, 25 hours per week hybrid position. Travel within Connecticut may be necessary. Responsibilities

Assist with marketing for programs and services Support the execution of communications plans Support the execution of email marketing communications Website maintenance/updates uploading to WordPress Social media creation, management and execution Various event management activities General team and administrative tasks Market research and compilation of data analytics Qualifications

Enrolled in bachelor's or master's degree program with a major in marketing, public relations, advertising, journalism or media/digital studies Demonstrated experience achieved through prior academic activities, internship, or work activities Experience working with WordPress, Luma, Hubspot, MailChimp, Constant Contact, Canva and Adobe Top-notch writing and interpersonal skills Comfortable working independently and with others Required skills

Detailed oriented and self-motivated Curious and eager to make an impact Responsive and able to navigate a fast-paced environment Takes initiative and follow-ups on assigned tasks How to apply
