The Sales Operations Specialist supports the National Accounts and Internal Sales organizations by leading operational case management for Independent Marketing Organizations (IMOs), their marketers, and agents. This role serves as the primary operational liaison for Sales and National Accounts, ensuring timely resolution of case-related matters and driving process efficiency across the distribution channel. The Specialist manages pending cases, resolves Not In Good Order (NIGO) issues, improves case issuance timelines, and enhances overall operational effectiveness within the sales process. This position is based in Birmingham, AL (Hybrid, 3 days a week). Key Responsibilities: Serve as the primary operational point of contact for IMOs, marketers, and agents regarding case status, documentation requirements, and issue resolution. Manage and resolve pending cases, NIGO items, and processing exceptions accurately and within established service standards. Provide proactive, timely case status updates to external partners and internal Sales and National Accounts stakeholders. Identify recurring operational challenges and partner with leadership to implement process improvements and reduce rework. Respond to and resolve case-related inquiries on behalf of National Accounts and Sales teams. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred. 5 years of relevant work experience Experience in the financial services industry strongly preferred. Experience working with IMOs, insurance operations, or similar distribution partners. Prior experience supporting national or complex distribution accounts. Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements within sales or operations functions. Strong case management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce CRM, and workflow or case management systems. Compensation
