Dock & Door Sales Specialist Compensation:

$45,000 base salary plus commission. Average on-target earnings range from $100,000–$150,000. With the guidance of the Field Sales Manager, the Dock & Door Sales Specialist assumes full responsibility for increasing market share and awareness in the territory. Product offerings will include dock levelers, trailer restraints, commercial doors, HVLS fans, as well as all supporting equipment associated with the loading dock and warehousing in general. The primary goal of the Dock & Door Sales Specialist is to seek new business relationships and close profitable sales while maintaining a genuine concern for the customer’s well-being. This includes establishing a consultative relationship with each customer targeted towards mutual growth and profitability. Key Responsibilities

Identify all prospects in assigned territory and evaluate the potential and resources needed to develop a business relationship. Effectively sell offerings to include service on dock levelers, dock doors, truck restraints, roll up doors, as well as fire door drop testing. Evaluate all existing service accounts for customer loyalty and growth potential, and develop relationships and growth plans accordingly. Identify all equipment service and support prospects in assigned territory and evaluate as to potential resources needed to convert to service customers. Prioritize prospects in territory and create effective and efficient strategy for successfully winning new and incremental aftermarket dock & door business. Develop a territory sales plan which details strategy, required support and timetable for attainment of sales objectives. Analyze the customer’s business and develop solutions to meet their specific requirements. Develop thorough product knowledge and ability to conduct equipment demonstrations as part of sales efforts in assigned territory. Collaborate with other sales groups, such as Systems and Lift Truck sales, to understand and utilize the organization’s full capabilities and product offerings. Initiate and develop new relationships and maximize existing customer base. Maintain direct personal contact with all assigned accounts and respond to needs and requests in a timely manner. Manage and understand the sales cycle. Manage and maintain a CRM program with updated customer information, scheduling, and quoting information. Qualifications

Territory knowledge strongly preferred. Prefer BA/BS in business, engineering, sales & marketing, or related field OR equivalent experience. Minimum of 2+ years of successful sales experience in the material handling industry or equipment sales/services. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Competitive nature and goal oriented. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated attention to detail and energy to work in dynamic, fast-paced environment.
