
Territory Representative - Sacramento/San Francisco

Overview
HemoCue, part of Danaher’s operating companies, offers point-of-care diagnostic solutions and serves healthcare practitioners to improve patient outcomes. The Territory Representative – Medical Device for HemoCue sells point-of-care testing in physician offices and hospital markets through approved distribution channels. The role is based in California (Sacramento/San Francisco area), fully remote with weekly field travel to customer locations within the territory. You will be part of the West Sales team reporting to the Area Sales Manager. At HemoCue, the aim is to do things easier, better, and right. This position supports building a world-class point-of-care diagnostic organization and contributes to innovation at the speed of life.
Responsibilities
Target and secure profitable new business based on regional marketing strategy by effectively targeting prospective accounts, crafting in-depth prospect profiles, building relationships, preparing and presenting proposals, and securing the business. Increase the profitability of existing accounts by analyzing profitability, product and service portfolio, presenting plans to customers, and executing solutions. Research customer problems and direct resolution/prevention to appropriate departments; participate with local leadership in developing business unit plans to grow volume and profitability through national strategies and initiatives. Propose pricing quote structures for potential and existing customers for maximum sales volume; perform ongoing follow-up with renegotiation on contract expiration with Sales Management and Controller approval. Ensure total compliance with company policies and government regulations; maintain customer contacts and pipeline management using Salesforce.com.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor's degree. Minimum 2 years outside sales experience. PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office. Proficient use of a CRM to manage business.
Travel & Environment
40% travel for typical territory coverage.
Preferred Experience
Successful sales experience in medical device or related industry and knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The salary range for this role is $105,000-$120,000. This position is eligible for commission; the total compensation target is $135,000-$150,000 annually. We offer comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k). The range may be modified in the future. The company notes that compensation is earned, vested, and determinable only as per applicable laws.
