We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace, and we are looking for candidates who share that same commitment.**Summary of the role**As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, where your ideas and contributions will be valued and respected.**Job Summary:**In this role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for a territory of existing and new customers, building strong, long-term relationships while driving new revenue.**Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:*** Sales of systems and parts to existing customers and new customers in assigned territory.* Collaborating with Field Service Team on opportunities to sell systems and parts for customers.* Identifies new applications, system upgrades and customer needs to recommend the best solution to improve customer operations.* Maintains detailed knowledge of Nordson products, prices, policies, and procedures; knows which Nordson products can be most advantageously used with all applications.* Provides product and part number information to customer as requested and as needed by customer to facilitate customer direct ordering. Creates formal quotes when required based upon customer needs.* Meets established sales budget as assigned.* Advises Sales and Service Leaders of new or changes in existing markets, competitor activities (prices and product changes), and needs for new or redesigned Nordson hardware.* Responsible for doing and keeping up-to-date on activity reports, contacts and opportunities in CRM system.* Performs other duties as assigned**Education and Experience Requirements:*** Associates Degree in technical/business discipline, military technical training, or equivalent 5 years related experience (in lieu of education) required.* Bachelor’s degree preferred.* 1-3 years of working a remote sales or technical support position would be recommended for this position.**Preferred Skills and Abilities:*** Proven record of technical selling skills.* Mechanical and electrical knowledge and skills.* Electronic knowledge and skills to include the use of typical instrumentation, tools and equipment.* Ability to read installation, dimension and troubleshooting drawings plus hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams, electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.* Advanced knowledge of application requirements and parameters for all Nordson applications.* Effective oral and written communication skills.* Must be a self-starter* Must be a team player* Ability to use a computer to maintain records – including Excel spreadsheets, to prepare correspondence, and for communication purposes (i.e. Internet).**Travel Required:*** Estimated 50% (two nights a week) – travel in assigned sales territory**Working Conditions and Physical Demands:*** Home office/Manufacturing environment.
