Summary The Seahawks Social Media Internship is a hands-on program designed to develop digital media professionals in the sports industry. The intern will assist the Seattle Seahawks digital media team with the ideation, development and execution of content for Seahawks social channels across various platforms, as well as ancillary accounts. This is a six-month internship beginning in mid-July 2026 and ending in January 2027.
By the end of the internship, and in accordance to their strengths and desire to build their weaknesses, the intern will have the opportunity to have first-hand experience in social media content, photography, videography, video editing, copywriting, design, project management and more.
The intern will be expected to learn heavily through experience and extensive resources will be available to facilitate the process at the intern’s initiative.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities
Collaborate and communicate with the digital media team in developing content plans for Seahawks channels, tentpole events and other opportunities
Exclusively own one or more social media platforms, including the day-to-day posting, content planning/gathering and more
Actively participate in the monitoring and engagement with fans
Evaluate key social media metrics to ensure effectiveness of accounts across all channels
Assist in the management of the team’s social media content calendar
Build out campaigns within a project management tool and help facilitate the project from ideation to completion
Provide live social media coverage of fan/community events as assigned
Work with internal departments (Public Relations, Corporate Partnerships, Community Engagement, Marketing, Football, etc.) in fulfilling digital media needs as requested
Manage various tasks for home/away games, including weekends, holidays and evenings
Education and Qualifications
Be currently enrolled as a senior or recent graduate (within 6 months) from a college or university. Graduate school students are eligible
Above average fluency in Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok and other popular social media platforms, as well as their analytics
Experience managing social media for a team, brand or professional organization
Basic understanding of Adobe products, particularly Photoshop and/or Premiere is a plus
Ability to learn new tools quickly
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work well under tight deadlines and thrive in the 24/7 NFL news cycle, handling multiple tasks at once with great attention to detail
Must be able to work unusual hours, including nights, weekends and holidays
Interest and experience in the sports industry is a plus
Physical Demands
The employee may need to lift 10 pounds or more
At times, this job may require many hours of sitting, standing and walking including events and on gameday
Timeframe

This position works 40 hours per week on average
