Overview We are a NAPA Parts retailer seeking a Counter Sales associate to be the face of the store. The role requires knowledge of automotive parts and the ability to assist customers in person and over the phone. This position offers opportunities for career growth within the company.
What you'll do
Provide auto parts answers and solutions for retail and wholesale customers at the counter or over the phone
Use your parts knowledge to assist other team members in answering customer questions
Provide outstanding customer care and interactions with everyone who enters the store
Maintain customer focus and high energy in a fast-paced environment
Welcome customers and engage to provide a positive retail experience
Operate technology (computer, cash register, telephone, and paper catalog system)
What you’ll need
Valid Driver’s License
Experience in a parts store or automotive industry, or willingness to learn all things auto parts
High School Diploma or GED; Technical or Trade school courses or degree
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment
Strong listening skills and empathy for customers
Nice to have
Background or passion for automotive, heavy equipment, farm, diesel, marine, or dealership
Experience in a parts store, auction, retail, auto body/collision
Knowledge of cataloging and/or inventory management systems
Customer-centric approach (external/internal)
ASE Certifications
