Overview
We are seeking a Senior Kitchen & Bath Designer to join our Bethesda showroom team. This is a full-time, in-office role, Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM. The ideal candidate is highly creative, design driven, and sales oriented, with the ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously. This role requires someone who is confident leading clients through the entire design process, from initial consultation and concept development to final selections and project handoff. Our Bethesda showroom serves a more design focused clientele, so we are looking for a designer who has a strong eye for aesthetics, materials, and layout planning while also being comfortable guiding clients through high value renovation projects. Responsibilities
Meet with clients in the showroom and during consultations to understand project goals, style preferences, and budgets Develop functional and visually compelling kitchen and bath designs Create detailed layouts and design plans using professional design software Present design concepts, cabinetry options, materials, and product selections Build and curate full material palettes including cabinetry, hardware, countertops, tile, plumbing fixtures, and lighting Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously while maintaining clear communication and organization Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and vendors to ensure designs are executed properly Prepare proposals and guide clients through selections and purchasing decisions Deliver a high level of client service throughout the entire design and sales process Qualifications
Extensive experience in kitchen and bath design Strong design sensibility with the ability to create cohesive material palettes and functional layouts Sales driven with a proven ability to convert consultations into projects Excellent client communication and presentation skills Deep knowledge of cabinetry, kitchen planning, and renovation workflows Highly organized and capable of managing multiple projects at once Proficiency in design software such as Chief Architect, 2020 Design, or similar platforms Experience working with cabinetry lines, material selections, and full renovation design Ability to thrive in a fast paced showroom environment Preferred
Degree in Interior Design or a related field, or equivalent professional experience Experience in high end residential design or renovation projects This is an excellent opportunity for a talented designer who is passionate about creating beautiful spaces and wants to be part of a growing, design focused team in Bethesda.
